Fall musings

I have this south-facing window. As I sit at my desk in the morning, I am privileged to be a witness to the unfolding drama of the morning sky. Never the same from one day to the next, the backdrop for trees in various stages of fall, preparing for winter.

I am

reminded of the words of David put to music by F.J. Hayden: “The heavens are telling the glory of God. The wonder of His works displays the firmament”. As the morning sun rises the darkness is dispelled – night turns to day. The natural rhythm speaks of the spiritual. Jesus the light of the world has come. Darkness will be eventually driven out. In the interim, we are called to be lights in the world.  Thanks for reading. Feel free to pass it on.
